On the first weekend of September we visited Glenelg, a cute coastal suburb with a jetty over the sea, the State Library, which was beautiful and the University of Adelaide campus area.

The second weekend of September was our last weekend in Adelaide. On Saturday morning we went to an open-air market with Lauren and Blake, a couple we had met at the gym. It was such a cool way to buy your veggies and fruit, not to mention that everything was locally produced and cheap. Later that day we had lunch at an Afghan restaurant in the city, a totally new cuisine for both of us. In the evening we went to see an AFL semi final game at the Adelaide Oval. We met up with Blake in the game as well. West Coast Eagles ended up beating Port Adelaide Power in a very tense match! What an atmosphere there was in the stadium!
The next week Oliver had his last days at work and Rosanna also finished working remotely to Finland. On Wednesday we got invited for a goodbye dinner to Lauren and Blake's beautiful house and had such a fun time! It felt a bit bittersweet to be leaving Adelaide just when we had made friends. We also had our last classes at the gym and were touched how nicely the crew sent us off!
Friday was Oliver's last day at his job and they had organised a going-away lunch for him, which was nice. Later that evening we went for dinner with our landlady Sarah to celebrate her upcoming birthday and to spend one last evening together. We had enjoyed living at her house and everything had gone smoothly. With our room now cleared of our stuff and our backpacks packed (read bursting in their seams) we went to bed with restless and anticipating thoughts. The next morning Sarah took us to the airport and we headed off to new adventures and experiences!
